Did you know that you can make perfect delicious kabobs inside? Without a grill! All you need is the broiler of your oven. You can use steak, chicken or shrimp to make these or even just veggies. They all come out perfect.
Ingredients:
2-3 Pounds of thick steak (Here I used Sirloin) cut into 1 inch squares
Marinade of choice (I used Lowry's seasoning and Worcestershire sauce)
Bell peppers cut into 1 inch cubes (I like to use different color ones)
Onions cut into 1 inch cubes
Squash, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes or pineapples cut into 1 inch squares
Olive oil
Seasoning
Wooden or metal skewers
Directions:
Cut meat into 1 inch cubes. Add cubes of meat to a zip lock bag along with the marinade of your choice. I used seasoning salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. You can also use bottled marinade or whatever you like. Set steak aside (or place in fridge for a couple hours to marinate)
Cut up veggies and put in a large salad bowl, drizzle with olive oil. Add seasonings, salt and pepper and toss to cover.
On wooden or metal skewers alternate adding meat and veggies until they are filled. Lay them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Place baking sheet on middle rack in the oven and turn on the broiler. Broil for 6-8 minutes. You will see meat begin to char and veggies start to cook. Turn over the kabobs and cook for another 6-8 minutes until desired doneness.
Serve with rice or your choice of sides. Enjoy!
